Mr. Wray is the managing partner of Pinto Wray James LLP. He brings a strong client focus to his work, seeking practical resolutions to complex legal issues.
Mr. Wray practices primarily in the areas of civil litigation, labour and employment, disability insurance and benefits litigation, human rights and administrative law.
Mr. Wray appears regularly before various levels of Federal and Provincial Courts and Tribunals for a wide range of clients on actions, motions and applications. Mr. Wray represents both applicants and respondents in applications for judicial review.
Mr. Wray has presented at and chaired numerous continuing legal education programs particularly in the area of workplace law and administrative law. He recently prepared a submission on behalf of the Ontario Bar Association to a Standing Committee of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario regarding human rights law in Ontario. In addition, Mr. Wray also recently presented a paper at the “Six-Minute Administrative Law Lawyer” on judicial review of administrative tribunal decisions following the release of an important Supreme Court of Canada decision.
Mr. Wray is currently the Chair of the Administrative Law Section of the Ontario Bar Association and a member of the Canadian Bar Association National Administrative Law Section.
Mr. Wray co-chaired the joint Ontario Bar Association and Law Society of Upper Canada conference on Human Rights in 2008 and will do so again in June 2009.
Mr. Wray is fluent in English, French and Spanish and serves clients of diverse backgrounds.
