Rahim brings creativity, pragmatism, and varied experience to his legal practice. He offers clients representation and counsel in all areas of the firm’s practice including civil litigation, workplace law, and administrative and regulatory law.
Prior to joining Pinto Wray James LLP, Rahim was a litigator at a large national law firm where he worked on a broad range of matters, including appeals and applications for judicial review; employment law; civil and commercial litigation; negligence and tort claims; and constitutional and public law. He has experience with all levels of court in Ontario and assisted with a landmark case before the Supreme Court of Canada. In November 2016, Rahim was seconded to Bell Canada for a six-month term, acting as Litigation Counsel on small claims, regulatory, and civil/commercial litigation matters.
Rahim was called to the bar in 2014 and is a member in good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada. Rahim is also a member of the Advocates’ Society, Ontario/Canadian Bar Associations, Canadian Muslim Lawyers Association, Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers, and South Asian Bar Association.
Rahim graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2013. While pursuing his law degree, Rahim served as a caseworker at Parkdale Community Legal Services and received the Harold J. Rubenstein Prize in Civil Liberties and the Dean’s Gold Key Award for outstanding contribution to the law school community. Rahim also holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science from McMaster University and a Master’s degree from the London School of Economic and Political Science.
Rahim is currently a pro bono lawyer with the Refugee Sponsorship Support Program and serves on the Board of Directors of the South Asian Visual Arts Centre, the only non-profit, artist-run centre in Canada dedicated to supporting artists of colour.
